First #1 Hit Single for KCCH Music

"Come Hungry To His Banquet Table" has reached #1 on the International CGC Chart for July 2008. Congratulations to co-writers, Keith Caldwell and Clayton B. Howell! After debuting at #68, "Come Hungry" jumped the next month all the way to #18. The song quickly entered the top ten the following month at #8, jumped to #3, got stronger at #2, and now we are thrilled to hold the #1 spot for July. Thank you to all of the radio stations worldwide who are playing "Come Hungry To His Banquet Table" and to all the fans who call and request it.

"Come Hungry To His Banquet Table" is doing very well on several International and national charts here in the states such as Jordan Records Independent Country Gospel Top 80 Most Played Chart (#23), and is currently the "#1 Most Requested Song" on Jean Castro's Old Time and New Country radio show in Marmoutier, France.

How did our KCCH Music executives and co-writers of this #1 hit song react when they heard the news? Both men were thrilled, of course(!) and somewhat shocked that their first release has been so well-received by the industry and with listeners around the world. Clay Howell wrote in an Email to his fans, "I am truly amazed and humbled by what God has done with this song." This sentiment was echoed by the song's vocalist, Keith Caldwell. Keith is currently on a promotional tour in Alabama in preparation for a major concert tour in that region scheduled for November 2008. Watch the KCCH Calendars for more details as they become available.

"Come Hungry To His Banquet Table" is the first track on Keith Caldwell's most recent CD, A God of Second Chances and the CD's first major release. "If Christ Was Never Born," released on a limited basis in December 2007, was nominated for multiple Gospel awards. The CD's title track, "A God of Second Chances" was released last week as a digital download by the Hope Street Music Group and is being released this month on CD compilations by Canyon Creek Records and Millennium Music Group in association with Christian Voice Magazine.

Our friend, Adrianna Nelson, is competing for the title of Miss Texas!

Clay and Keith have recently worked with the reigning Miss Plano, Adrianna Nelson, on her amazing vocal talent. We want to help her turn her dream into reality as she competes for the title of Miss Texas on July 5th. Anna is a member of our local church, and we've watched as she's grown into quite a remarkable and talented young woman. Anna is gifted soprano and will be singing a special arrangement of "How Great Thou Art" for the talent competition. I had the privilege of attending her recent rehearsals with Clay and Keith, and there are no words to describe how awesome Anna is!

Please help Anna realize her dream by donating any amount you can ($1, $5, $10, $25...) to the Miss Plano Frisco Scholarship Organization in Adrianna Nelson's name. You can see photos of Anna and read about her platform, "Abstinence is the Answer", by clicking on the first link listed below.

From Anna...
Many of you have watched me as I have progressed through the Miss Texas process. I have grown and become a better person through the love and support of each of you.

As I get ready for the final month towards my goal of becoming Miss Texas, I am asking you to help me reach my fundraising goal to assist my mom in paying off my final amounts. Remember, any amount is greatly appreciated. Even $1.00 will add up.

Thanks a lot for your continued support and wish me luck at Miss Texas on July 5.

Hugs and Kisses to all,
Anna

Keith Caldwell, Featured Guest Artist on KNGR Radio

KCCH's own Gospel Recording Artist Keith Caldwell spent a very exciting day on Thursday in Daingerfield, TX as he recorded a live radio guest appearance at KNGR Radio with Gospel legend, Bob Wilson. Keith was treated like royalty the entire day by Bob and his wife, Glorya. After an extensive tour of the local area including the town of Jefferson, the location of this year's Agape Fest in late May, and a scrumptious lunch, it was back to the studio to prepare for the live taping. Bob played Keith's Gospel CD, A God of Second Chances in its entirety for the listening audience, which encompasses not only the local area, but a virtual world-wide audience via the Internet.

During the interview Keith explained the story behind each song as it was played and recounted how he and his writing partner, Clayton B. Howell, had been inspired by a combination of Biblical passages and real-life experiences in co-writing the ten original songs included on this, his first Gospel album.

The entire show was replayed last night, and in case you missed it, will be aired several more times in the coming weeks. To find out when you can listen to Keith Caldwell on KNGR Radio, check back here with the KCCH Music Website or with KNGR Radio. KCCH's Traveling Execs Return!

The KCCH staff warmly welcomes its execs, Clay Howell and Keith Caldwell, safely home from their Carnival Cruise, which sailed from Galveston, TX on Saturday, January 12th and returned on Thursday, January 17th after making stops in Progresso and Cozumel, Mexico. Clay and Keith joined Redeemer Records' Gary R. Smith for the five exciting days of musical performances, Christian fellowship, adventure in Mexico, and reportedly, great food.

Keith and Clay were privileged to open for Gary R Smith, Country Gospel's leading male performer of the decade on Sunday evening. After a selection of worship standards by Keith and Clay, Keith performed two songs from his KCCH CD release, A God of Second Chances, before introducing Gary R. Smith. Gary performed two of his soul-reaching gospel songs to the delight of the audience. Dr. John Bisagno, former Pastor of Houston's 1st Baptist Church and world-renowned Bible teacher, then addressed the crowd which included a large representation from Impact Ministries, a singles ministry to singles aged 40 to 60.

Monday and Tuesday, Clay and Keith toured the ports of Cozumel and Progresso. Clay said of Progresso,"It was much less touristy than Cozumel and had a simple charm that was very appealing. The street vendors were less pushy, and the overall atmosphere was of laid back charm."

Tuesday night, Keith and Clay sang at the Bible Study and then performed at the ship's talent show. Their number, "Knight in Shining Armor" was well-received. This is a song that Clay had written several years ago and is just as country as can be. Houston boasted four out of the six performers. Houston's own Kelly Dean, a professional vocalist and sax player was also well-received and kept up the great image for the Houston performers. The final act of the evening was a young man named Danny from Clear Lake who sang "I Bowed On My Knees and Cried Holy." The cruisers gave Danny a standing ovation for his performance.

Clay wasn't feeling well on Wednesday evening, so our KCCH execs didn't perform but Keith graciously ran the sound system for those who did perform.

Thursday, the ship returned to Galveston. The guys said it was good to be home, even though they will miss their cruise ship, all of their new friends, and all of the wonderful Carnival staff. Arriving back in Houston, the good news is that Clay has recovered and Keith found his cell phone. Clay's first question upon returning to Houston was, "Can we get another cruise going?"
